Attended Georgia State University before turning professional in 2007. He has played in Asia and Europe, and first hit the headlines after shooting a round of 66 on the opening day of The 139th Open Championship in 2010 only to be overshadowed by Rory McIlroy, who went three shots lower. Has won three times on the third tier Jamega Pro Golf Tour in the UK, and also won the Egyptian Open in 2009, a year before the event joined the European Tour Challenge Tour. Saw off a field which included Europe’s 2010 Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie at the JW Marriott Mirage City Golf Club in the Egyptian capital Cairo, where the windy conditions and links-style layout were similar to his home club, Royal Cinque Ports. Claimed the fifth card at the 2016 European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage to earn a place on the 2017 Race to Dubai.
