Made his European Challenge Tour breakthrough in some style at the 2009 Kärten Golf Open presented by Markus Brier Foundation, where he posted an unbelievable final round of ten under par 62 to win by a stroke from his countryman Florian Fritsch and Spain’s Carlos Rodiles. His first Challenge Tour win was a significant breakthrough considering he endured a four and a half year period of not making a cut on the Challenge Tour, playing 20 events in that time. Enjoyed multiple successes on the Satellite EPD Tour where he is a seven time champion. Started playing when he was nine years old, taking up the game in a small village called Kuching on the island of Borneo in Malaysia, where his father worked for a three year period. Did a carpentry apprenticeship before becoming a qualified PGA professional at the age of 19.
