Won his first European Tour title in 2018 at the D+D Real Czech Masters before going on to defeat Matthew Fitzpatrick in a play-off to claim his second victory at the BMW International Open. Has graduated from the Challenge Tour on two occasions, finishing second in the Rankings behind Tommy Fleetwood in 2011, before topping the season-long list two years later. Won twice in each of his seasons on Europe's top developmental Tour. Studied at the University of Texas A&M, where he won on the collegiate circuit and was a member of the NCAA Championship-winning team. Grew up in Rome and is an ardent supporter of AS Roma.
