Biography

Collected the 18th European Tour card on offer at the 2014 Qualifying School Final Stage in swashbuckling style when he climbed 31 places on the final day courtesy of a closing round of 66 which featured a front nine of 31. Had entered the Second Stage in confident form after securing a top 15 finish in the ISPS HANDA Perth International two weeks before. Had his coach and mentor from a young age, Gary Colquhoun, on the bag in both Perth and at PGA Catalunya Resort. Was born in Cape Town and spent the first five years of his life there, before moving to Zimbabwe at the age of five and later relocating to Perth. Was inspired by former European Tour winner and club-mate at Mandurah Country Club, Jarred Moseley, to target a career in Europe after several years playing on the Australian circuit. Enjoyed a successful amateur career in his home country, winning the Australian Junior Championship in 2007 to put his name alongside those of Jason Day and Adam Scott. Like many Antipodeans, he enjoys surfing in his free time.
