Chose not to enter the European Tour Qualifying School for two years at the start of his professional career, despite the Final Stage being played on his home course – PGA Catalunya Resort – in Spain, instead opting to hone his game on the Challenge Tour. Justified that decision by making steady progress on the second tier and finishing seventh in the 2014 Rankings, helped largely by victory in the Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open in June. That was his second victory following his triumph in the Barclays Kenya Open at the start of the 2013 season. His achievements are all the more impressive given he was also studying for masters degree in law in his native Girona. Started playing golf at the age of four having been inspired by watching Spanish stars on television, and cites Seve Ballesteros as his hero. An avid Barcelona FC fan.
