Biography

First picked up a club at the age of six after being introduced to the game by his father. Was a talented field hockey and t ennis player but decided to focus solely on golf when he was 16. Won the European Boys Championship with his close friend and compatriot Thomas Pieters, who he joined to study at the University of Illinois. Came to Europe in 2016 as the World Amateur Number Eight and was in contention during his professional debut at the KPMG Trophy, where he eventually finished sixth. Breakthrough victory came at the 2016 Bridgestone Challenge where he set a Challenge Tour record for the largest winning margin after he triumphed by 12 shots. Graduated from the Challenge Tour that year and finished third in his first appearance as a European Tour Member at the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
