Made his breakthrough on the Challenge Tour when he won the 2012 English Challenge, fulfilling the potential he showed as an amateur in the 2009 Walker Cup. The victory at Stoke by Nayland helped him take 12th spot in the Challenge Tour Rankings and earn a rookie season on The European Tour in 2013. Attended the University of Tennessee in America and made rapid progress, soon realising he could be a successful professional. Played a mixture of Challenge Tour and Alps Tour in 2011, notching three wins on the latter. His father and two older brothers are all excellent golfers – his middle brother is a club professional.
