Turned professional in 2015 after a successful career as an amateur when he won six times. The former Texas Tech University student mad e a fast start to life as a professional, winning the Northern Ireland Open in Association with Sphere Global and Ulster Bank in just his fourth Challenge Tour appearance. Added to his trophy cabinet at the Turkish Airlines Challenge the following year, then made it three Challenge Tour wins in three successive seasons by triumphing at the 2017 Viking Challenge. Qualified for The Open Championship in 2016 where he was in the media spotlight after wearing a 'Pray for Nice' cap to pay his respects to the victims of a terror attack in his home town.
