Made his breakthrough on the European Tour in December 2015 with victory in the Australian PGA Championship at RACV Royal Pines Resort on the Gold Coast. It was the first time the tournament featured on the European Tour International Schedule, and Holman helped himself to an exemption until the end of 2017 by beating Dylan Fritelli and Harold Varner III in a play-off. Turned professional in October 2013 and in only his fifth appearance after joining the paid ranks, shared the halfway lead at the Talisker Masters and was paired with his idol Adam Scott in the third round. Secured his card on the Asian Tour through the Qualifying School in 2013 and took 52nd place on the Order of Merit the following season. Finished 135th in the 2015 Race to Dubai after playing ten events as an affiliate member, which earned him entry to the European Tour Qualifying School Final Stage. Could not earn a full card there, but two weeks later secured exemption to The Open Championship in 2016 and numerous other lucrative events after winning the co-sanctioned Australian PGA Championship in Queensland, to finish Number One on the 2015 PGA Tour of Australia Order of Merit. Was voted the first Hilton European Tour Golfer of the Month for the 2016 season in recognition of his victory.
