Another consistent campaign yielded seven top ten finishes as he improved on his 2010 finish of 24th on the Order of Merit by two places. Was eighth on the Order of Merit in 2009, finishing joint runner up behind Glenn Ralph in the Cleveland Golf/Srixon Scottish Senior Open – one of six top ten finishes during an impressive campaign. Both of his Senior Tour victories came in 2004, at the Open de France Senior and the Sanremo Masters, where he shot a superb final round eight under par 61. That remains a record for the lowest 18 hole score - although Carl Mason equalled it in 2008 and Angel Fernandez in 2011 - and his winning total of 193 was the lowest 54 hole score recorded on the Senior Tour. A former two-time winner of the prestigious Glenmuir Club Professionals’ Championship, he was also a member of five Great Britain & Ireland PGA Cup teams.
