Biography

Looked set for another visit to the Qualifying School last season until a sensational seven days on the Challenge Tour saw the former Amateur champion and Silver Medal winner at The 1993 Open Championship win two tournaments, namely the ECCO Tour Championship and the Telia Challenge Waxholm to propel himself up the Rankings. Finished the year in 14th place to secure a return to The European Tour. Took up the game as a 14 year old at Selby Golf Club and got down to scratch within three years. Had the honour of playing alongside Arnold Palmer at the 1994 Masters Tournament on the back of his success at the 1993 Amateur Championship. A prolific Challenge Tour winner with seven victories to his name.
