European Tour hopefuls head for SpainA host of former Walker Cup players, Challenge Tour winners and golf stars of the future will continue one of the most difficult tests in golf as more than 300 hopefuls attempt to earn their right to play on The European Tour in 2012 at Qualifying School Second Stage this week.

The European Tour Qualifying School began in 1976 and was staged at Foxhills and Walton Heath. The winner was David A Russell. The youngest player to gain a card at the Qualifying School is Sweden’s Magnus Persson, aged 17 years and 116 days in 1982.
