After an exciting mid-week moving day at the Final Stage of European Tour Qualifying School, europeantour.com looks at how the fifth round unfolded over the Stadium Course at PGA Catalunya Resort.

Biggest move

Justin Walters moved up 35 places after a 5 under par 67 to get himself within one shot of the top 25.

Lowest score

Ross McGowan carded the lowest round of the week on the Stadium course, an 8 under par 64. The bogey-free masterpiece consisted of 6 birdies and an eagle.

Highest number of players from one country

From the 78 players that made the cut, 18 of them were from England, 10 of which currently place inside the top 25.

Hardest hole on the course

The hardest hole on the course in round five was the par four 14th, which plays 457 yards. The hole saw 19 bogeys, 6 double bogeys and only 7 birdies all day with an average of 4.308.

Easiest hole on the course

The par five 15th hole saw 40 birdies, 9 eagles and played at an average of 4.321. A relatively easy hole, where a par five would have resulted in losing ground on the field.

Number of birdies

Moving day saw a staggering 268 birdies and 18 eagles over the Stadium Course.

Most consecutive birdies

Matthew Southgate made 5 birdies in a row on moving day to propel himself up the leaderboard and into contention. He currently sits in a tie for seventh place.

Number of potential rookies

If the Qualifying School were to finish after round five, there would be an astounding 15 rookies in card winning positions for the 2016 season.

Number of former European Tour winners that currently sit inside the top 25

Ross McGowan, Damien McGrane, David Dixon and Richard Finch are all former European Tour winners and are currently set to return to The European Tour in 2016.

Number of players who played in the First Stage that currently sit inside the top 25

9 of the 17 players who have played in all three Stages of Qualifying School and have made the cut at Final Stage currently sit inside the top 25.

Youngest player inside the top 25

Young amateur Marcus Kinhult (19) has played superb golf all week and currently sits just outside the top 10 on 10 under par.

Oldest player inside the top 25

European Tour stalwart Damien McGrane (44) currently sits in 18th position at 8 under par.

Number of players within 5 shots of the top 25

31 players are currently within 5 shots of 25th position.

Expect to see some changes in round 6 at the Final Stage of European Tour Qualifying School.
