The European Tour’s Qualifying School First Stage Section B returns to Collingtree Park Golf Course after a successful inaugural hosting at the Northamptonshire venue in 2015, and to Austria’s Golfclub Schloss Ebreichsdorf from 22-25 September.
It is anticipated that approximately 49 players will proceed from First Stage Section B to Second Stage (approximately 25% of the total field).
Of the 100 players competing at the Johnny Miller-designed Collingtree course layout, which has a long association with the European Tour, including hosting the British Masters on two occasions, in 1995 and 1996, it is expected 23rd place and ties will qualify for the next stage.
In Austria, 93 players will take to the field with 22nd place and ties moving forward in the qualification process.
Section C takes place at Ribagolfe in Portugal and Golf d’Hardelot in France, with the first hurdle of the Qualifying School adventure will conclude with Section D at Golf Club Bogogno in Italy and Frilford Heath in England, before the qualifiers move on to the Second Stage in November.
