Germany's Alexander Cejka began the tournament with six successive birdies, and five more for a course record equal low round of the year 61 rushed him into a four-shot lead he was never to lose.  The gap had increased to five after 54 holes leaving only the question that had been posed all week: "Who is going to be second?".  Four shots behind in a runners-up tie were Spain's Ignacio Garrido, Ireland's Ronan Rafferty and Holland's Rolf Muntz.  This victory was Cejka's second in only five months and he recorded the joint best low first 18 of the season.
