May defends at Woburn
Bob May returns from the United States this week to defend the Victor Chandler British Masters title he won at Woburn Golf and Country Club last year. The 31 year old from Las Vegas made his breakthrough in the inaugural event sponsored by bookmaker Victor Chandler over the famous Duke's Course, before going on to gain his card to play on his native American Tour.

MONTGOMERIE LEADS BY ONE AT WOBURN
As usual, it seemed the bookmakers got it right. The sponsors made Colin Montgomerie an 11-4 favourite for the Victor Chandler British Masters at Woburn Golf and Country Club, and Europe’s seven-time No.1 justifed his short odds by shooting an eight under par 64 to lead after the first round on the superb Duke’s Course.

Orr sets blistering pace to lead at halfway
Gary Orr shot a blistering ten under par 62 to set a new course record on the Duke’s course at Woburn and move into the halfway lead in the Victor Chandler British Masters at 15 under par. His round equalled the lowest round on the European Tour this year as he moved from three behind pre-tournament favourite Colin Montgomerie into a one-stroke lead over Zimbabwe’s Mark McNulty, who shot a second successive 65.
Second day video highlights
Mark McNulty, a previous champion at Woburn, trailed leader Gary Orr by just one shot going into the last two rounds of the Victor Chandler British Masters following a pair of 65s over the Duke’s Course. McNulty gave his views on his round afterwards.
SCOTS TO THE FORE AS ORR AND MONTGOMERIE GO HEAD TO HEAD
Gary Orr and Colin Montgomerie, team mates for Scotland in the Alfred Dunhill Cup two years ago, will be fierce rivals in the fourth round of the Victor Chandler British Masters at sun-drenched Woburn. Orr, one ahead at halfway, stretched his lead to two shots over Montgomerie with a four under par 68 for a 19 under par total of 197 while Europe’s seven-time No.1 fired a 66 to declare his intention of regaining the title he won in 1998.
