The course is built on rolling sand dunes - it's very hilly and quite hard work to walk round. It's a very picturesque venue, with great views of the Indian Ocean, especially from the 2nd tee, 7th tee, and 12th green.
It will be very important to hit the fairways this week. Wind could be a big factor - in theory, the course should suit someone who likes links type golf.

Greens - Bermuda (3 mm)
Fairways - Bermuda
Tees - Bermuda (10 mm)
Rough - Berea grass (indigenous to South Africa)

Average width 25 metres. Lots of bushes surrounding holes will make it very tight, especially if the wind blows.

Intermediate - 75 mm
Rough - 200 mm

Stimpmeter reading on January 23 - 9'
Likely to remain similar.
