O'Malley comes from behind to storm to victory in the Compass Group English Open
Peter O'Malley came from behind in sensational fashion to clinch the Compass Group English Open at the Marriott Forest of Arden. The 35 year old Australian, who started the final round five shots off the lead, carded a closing 66 for a 13 under par total of 275 to pip Frenchman Raphael Jacquelin, who carded a 70, by a shot. Overnight leader Adam Scott finished with a 73 to take third place on 277.
Scott Moves Two Ahead in Compass Group English Open
Adam Scott, who doesn’t take possession of the key to the door until his 21st birthday next month, unlocked the secret of the Marriott Forest of Arden for the third day running as he compiled a five under par 67 to take a two stroke lead into the final round of the Compass Group English Open.

The Compass English Open returns to Marriott Forest of Arden
In 2000 Darren Clarke defended his Compass Group English Open title defeating a strong field that included Michael Campbell, Colin Montgomerie and Lee Westwood. Mark James is the only other player to have previously won two succesive English Opens, in 1989 and 1990.
