Goosen Defends on the Bonnie Banks
Scotland will become the focus for the golfing world's attention over the next fortnight, the action teeing off this week on the Bonnie Banks of Loch Lomond with The Barclays Scottish Open. A high-quality field is headlined by the six previous Champions at Loch Lomond, the international gathering of Thomas Björn, Ernie Els, Retief Goosen, Tom Lehman, Colin Montgomerie and Lee Westwood illustrating perfectly the global attraction of the £2.2 million tournament.
Rose on a Roll at Loch Lomond
Justin Rose adhered closely to his dictum that the best way to sooth the pain of a missed cut is to win a tournament when he fired a six under par 65 to lead the field after the first round of The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
Jacobson takes charge of The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond
The surrounding atmosphere might have differed greatly to that of his opening round but the golf from Fredrik Jacobson was just as good, as a second round 65 gave the 27 year old Swede a commanding lead at the halfway stage of The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
Jacobson maintains lead in The Barclays Scottish Open
It might not have been as spectacular as his opening two efforts, but Fredrik Jacobson’s third round 71 was good enough to maintain his lead in The Barclays Scottish Open at Loch Lomond.
