Course Layout
A new tee has been added to the second hole, making the carry over the valley 295 yards, the longest on The European Tour. Much of the course enjoys spectacular views over the Atlantic Ocean sitting as it does at 800m altitude. The severe gradient of the course makes for many up and downhill lies.

Tees and Fairways
Tees & Fairways: Poa Annua, Poa Pratensis, Lolium. Fairways are of an average width.

Greens: Penncross, Poa Annua. The greens are very undulating and were running at 9 on the stimp the weekend before the tournament.

Rough: Poa Pratensis, Lolium. Semi cut to 32mm with one band 3 metres wide. Rough cut to 65mm. Eucalyptus trees abound the course.
