Paul Casey maintained his four stroke advantage over the field at the conclusion of the second round of the Telefonica Open de Madrid, picking up a birdie on the 17th on his way to completing a six under par 65 to move to 14 under par 128.

Casey, who returned to the course to finish his last three holes following a two hour delay on Friday, leads Robert Karlsson after the Swede finished his own round of 67 with a birdie on his last hole, the ninth at Club de Campo Madrid.

That birdie edged him ahead of the Australian Peter Fowler and the Scottish pair of Stephen Gallacher and Paul Lawrie, all of whom finished the previous evening.
