Michael Campbell, the reigning US Open and HSBC World Match Play Champion as well as The 2005 European Tour Golfer of the Year, has confirmed that he will compete in this year’s Quinn Direct British Masters.
The New Zealander will arrive at The De Vere Belfry after his strongest professional season. Currently ranked 15th in the world, the 37 year old Brighton resident will line up against the world’s best including Paul McGinley, who finished third on the 2005 European Tour Order of Merit, and Darren Clarke, currently ranked 27th in the world.
Other past and present Ryder Cup stars look set to join them from Thursday 11th to Sunday 14th May to compete for the £1.8 million prize fund.

The Quinn Direct British Masters 2006 will take place at The De Vere Belfry in the West Midlands, which has been a four-time host to The Ryder Cup. The event will see the return of top level European Tour golf to the venue along with many of its biggest stars.
