Australia’s Adam Crawford and Sweden’s Johan Skold joined overnight leader Tim Clark at the top of the Sportsbet Australian Masters third round leaderboard.
Crawford reached the turn at Huntingdale Golf Club five under par to leap to seven under overall following back-to-back 71s, while Skold picked up three shots over his opening six holes following a second round 68.
South Africa’s Clark, who claimed the outright lead of the tournament with a second round four under 68, was level par through two holes.
Crawford flew out of the blocks and reeled of back-to-back birdies to start his round before a run of three from the fifth propelled him to the top of the leaderboard.
Skold recovered from a first hole bogey five and picked up four shots over his next five holes.
Australia’s Ashley Hall, two under through five holes of his third round, and compatriot Anthony Summers, who remained level par through two holes, sit just a shot off the lead.
Of the early starters, Sweden’s Alexander Noren carded a third round 68 to move onto four under par overall.
