Alvaro Quiros and Louis Oosthuizen both dropped a shot over the opening holes of their final rounds as the race for the Commercialbank Qatar Masters Presented by Dolphin Energy headed towards an exciting climax.

Big hitting Spaniard Quiros – who compiled a magnificent third round 64 – bogeyed the second but still lead by a shot on 15 under after four holes.

South Africa’s Oosthuizen failed to take advantage of the slip, he dropped a shot at the par five opener to sit alongside Holland’s Maarten Lafeber on 14 under.

The Dutchman produced birdies at the second and fourth to sit two under for the day after five holes.

A host of players were still in contention for the Pearl Trophy – with former champions in Qatar Henrik Stenson and Andrew Coltart 13 under and 12 under respectively through five.
