Fredrik Andersson Hed will begin the second round of the SAINT-OMER OPEN presented by Neuflize OBC bidding to extend his one stroke lead.
The Swede lit up the opening day in northern France with a six under par 65 which contained no fewer than six birdies.
"I just hope I can keep it going for all four rounds this week," said Andersson Hed.
"I’ve been striking the ball well lately, even though I missed the cut on the Challenge Tour in Ireland last week. So my game’s definitely there or thereabouts at the moment."
Australian Michael Curtain and Tony Carolan trail Andersson Hed by one shot, although the latter was thankful for a birdie at the last for a share of second place.
Spain's Carlos Del Moral and Englishman James Morrison are a stroke further back on four under par, while Christian Nilsson, last year’s runner-up, will begin the second round on three under.
