(a) Players in the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking as at 12th April 2010. Note: for each non-member entrant under this clause, Category 4 (Sponsors Invitations), will be redeemed by a corresponding number of places.
(b) Entries will be accepted in category order until the field of 150 is complete. For this Championship, category 5(ii) will be amended to allow 10 places to PGA Members who are not qualified by the Tour category ranking system. These to be nominated by the Board of the PGA and will replace the requirement for 3 places as otherwise nominated for events in Great Britain
