The field will consist of 204 players.
72 holes stroke play. One round each will be played over the Serapong and Tanjong courses after which the field will be cut to the leading 65 and tied professionals*, who will then play a further 2 rounds over the Serapong course. (*When determining the cut, qualifying amateurs will be in addition to the professional field at this stage).
a) Past champions of the Barclays Singapore Open ranked within 2010 categories 1-12 of the European Tour or 2010 categories 1-16(b) of the Asian Tour.
b) 32 spots allocated between the JGTO, KPGA, CGA, Asian PGA, PGTI and Australian PGA as agreed between the promoter and the European Tour that shall be based on recognised performance related criteria such as OWGR, Orders of Merit or individual event results.
c) The top 75 entries from the 2010 European Tour Exemption Categories (excluding categories 4, 5 and 6).
d) The top 75 entries from the 2010 Asian Tour Exemption Categories
e) The leading 5 players ONLY from the top 50 of the OWGR as of 11th October not otherwise exempt in (a) – (d). *NB. See note 3 below.
f) 10 professional invitations.
g) 4 amateurs nominated by the Singapore Golf Association.
h) 3 professionals nominated by the Singapore PGA not otherwise exempt under (a) or (b).
Note 1: For players exempt under (a) above, (c) and (d) will be reduced by the corresponding number of places subject to the membership status of each player.
Note 2: Asian players who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be entered through (d) above. Players from outside Asia who are members of and exempt through both Tours will be entered through (c) above.
Note 3: *If any of the 5 spots available through (e) above are not utilised, they will be allocated alternately to the European and Asian Tours with the Asian Tour receiving the first unused spot.
