A level par outward nine was enough to give Jeev Milkha Singh a share of the lead at the Open de España.

The Indian carded one bogey and a solitary birdie before the turn after starting at the tenth tee to maintain his five under par score, having opened with a 67.

That was level with France's Romain Wattel and Spain's Pablo Larrazábal, who were both amongst the afternoon starters in the second round.

Overnight leader Scott Jamieson slipped back with bogeys at his first two holes to be amongst the group on four under - with Gregory Bourdy, Peter Lawrie, Thomas Aiken and Anthony Wall all yet to tee off.

On a tough day for scoring, Frenchman Alexandre Kaleka was one of the few players making a positive move - three birdies and a bogey in his first seven holes lifting him to a share of ninth on three under.
