Tournament History

The Madeira Islands Open BPI – Portugal returns to Porto Santo Golfe for the third consectuive year after making its debut at the picturesque venue in 2009. So far it has proved a happy hunting ground for Challenge Tour graduates, with Tano Goya (2009) and James Morrison (2010) capturing the title. The tournament started in 1993 at Campo de Golfe da Madeira and stayed there for four years until moving to Santo de Serra from 1997-2008.
