Special features - the course has a stunning setting built alongside Lough Leane which comes into play most prominently on holes 1, 3, 4 and 10 (a beautiful par 3 and the feature hole which plays straight out towards the water)
General playability - with light winds the course will be open to low scoring but if the wind blows the challenge changes significantly
Undulating / flat - fairly flat
Tree lined / exposed - a lot of trees on the course but some of the holes adjacent to the water are quite exposed
Many / few water hazards - water comes into play on 11 out of the 18 holes
Changes to the course - a new tee on the 1st has added roughly 30yds to this hole
Other features
The course is home to several varieties of deer (red and seeker) and Lough Leane is home to salmon and trout which a good number of the players will enjoy fishing for this week
