Type of grass - old greens: 50% Bent and 50% Poa Annua, new greens: 50% Bent, 40% Fescue and 10% Poa

General width and contouring - reasonably wide, some are heavily contoured: 1, 2, 4, 12, 18
Any specific comments - little roll on the fairways as they are very wet due to heavy rain

Type of grass - Rye and Fescue
Height of cut - semi 32mm, intermediate 64mm, rough unmaintained
Any specific comments - rough is quite penal

Weather
Weather in advance - very wet summer (the wettest in the Netherlands in the last 100 years) with rainfall of over 450mm in summer months (normally around 200mm)
Forecast for tournament - showers Wednesday and Thursday morning then dry with a chance of late afternoon thunderstorms on Sunday

Course
Opened - 1910
Course designer - Hilversumsche Golf Club started in 1910 so this is the clubs Centenary Year. The first nine holes (tourhnament holes 1, 2 and 13-18) were designed by Henry Burrows and opened in 1922. The next nine holes (tournament holes 3-12) were designed by HS Colt and opened in 1928. THe course underwent considerable alterations in 1954 and 1964 and has been revamped by Kyle Phillips in 2008/2009. THese alterations included new greens on holes 1, 3, 14, 15 and 18, new back tees on holes 1, 9, 13 and 14 and new fairway bunkers on holes 16 and 17.
