WGC - Accenture Match Play Championship Review - 29th February 2012
The European Tour this week enjoys a well earned break after a busy start to the season before it resumes once again next week at the WGC – Cadillac Championship in Miami.
Our review comes from the WGC – Accenture Match Play Championship and European Tour Weekly will bring you the best of the action from the Ritz-Carlton Golf Club at Dove Mountain where the elite 64-man field were competing for a prize fund of $8.5 million.
Whilst in America European Tour Weekly caught up with Paul Casey. A fierce competitor, Casey would have relished the chance to tee up at the WGC – Accenture Match Play Championship, but has been out of action since the start of the year due to dislocating his shoulder while snowboarding in Colorado. Casey spoke to ETW about his rehabilitation and his hopes of returning to competitive action.
The European Tour Performance Institute recently launched a program to reinstate golf training and physiological monitoring after last year establishing a partnership associated with ETPI’s web initiative, Tour Fit for Golf. This year’s program will feature Raphaël Jacquelin, Alex Noren and Matteo Manassero and ETW was at the launch to take a look behind the scenes.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
