Tournament History

In 2011 Rory McIlroy bounced back from Major disappointment at Augusta just a few months prior by storming clear of the field at Congressional Country Club, breaking numerous records on the way, to eventually win by a remarkable eight shots from Australian Jason Day. This season the Championship returns to San Francisco’s The Olympic Club for the fifth time, the last of which was in 1998 when Lee Janzen picked up the second of his two US Open titles.
