The European Tour has announced that a dedicated shuttle bus service, operated by Stagecoach, will again be employed to help facilitate the ease of access and exit to and from the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open at Castle Stuart Golf links next month.
The Stagecoach service will run between Inverness Bus Station and the tournament venue, from Pro-Am Day on Wednesday, July 11 through to the final round on Sunday, July 15.
The service is available at a nominal cost of £5 for an Adult Return and free of charge for Senior Citizens and Under 16s. The pick-up and drop-off point will be the Public Car Park at Castle Stuart.
Spectators can also take the half hourly schedule bus - Numbers 11 or 11a - from Nairn to Inverness Airport, and then take the tournament shuttle service to the course operated by Stagecoach. The cost of the full journey from Nain to the tournament, including the transfer to the shuttle bus service from the airport, will cost the same £5 charge for a return ticket to and from the course and once again it will be free of charge for Senior Citizens and Under 16s. It will be the same pick up/drop off point at the course as for the Inverness service.
Peter Adams, Championship Director for the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, said: “We are delighted to work with Stagecoach in offering this dedicated shuttle service from Inverness city centre and Inverness Airport to Castle Stuart. Spectators coming from both directions will be able to leave the car at home and enjoy the championship which is shaping up to be another superb event with an outstanding field.”
