General playability - Generous fairways.
Tree lined / exposed - Exposed with spectacular vista
Undulating / flat - The course is laid out on 2 levels with 7 holes on the lower level, bordering the Firth.
Many / few water hazards - 7 holes are adjacent to the Moray Firth.
Changes to the course - Hole 5 – 3 new fairway bunkers have been constructed, one on the left (around 265yds) and two on the right (around 350 and 375yds). The fairway line has been adjusted on the RHS.
Hole 9 – A new tee has been constructed adding 39yds. The rough has being brought in on the right of the fairway.
Hole 10 – The fairway bunker has been reconstructed and is now more visible from the tee.
Hole 12 – A new tee has been built to the right of the 11th green which changes the line of play and extends the hole by 69yds.
Hole 14 – A new bunker has been built in the centre of the fairway at 290yds.
Hole 15 – A new tee has been constructed which adds 35 yds to the hole.
OTHER FEATURES
It has a 1930’s style art Deco Clubhouse. Several species of wildlife can be found including dolphins, seals, badgers, osprey, white tailed sea eagles, Sand Martin nesting area left of 13th tee. The course sits on the southern side of the Moray Firth and looks out towards the Black Isle with Kessock Bridge, Chanonry Lighthouse and Fort George (home of the Black Watch) as highly visible land marks.
