In what is an all-European Tour and all British three-ball, Graeme McDowell, Jamie Donaldson and Ian Poulter take to the Ocean Course together in the final round of the US PGA Championship all looking for a Sunday surge and a podium finish at Kiawah Island.

As the final day of the last day of the Major Championship in South Carolina coincides with the climax of the Olympic games in London, it was a happy happenstance that a tournament score of 215 with 18 holes to play brought the Northern Irishman, Welshman and Englishman together for the championship’s culmination on Sunday afternoon.

A six shot deficit to leader Rory McIlroy is the target, so all three know a strong finish is the order of the day.

Graeme McDowell

On his one under par 71 in round three:

“I made three sixes on the day and that’s just frustrating really. I've lost around seven, eight shots in this golf tournament just from around the greens really, just compounding errors, and that's extremely frustrating to do that on the last hole there today.”

On the challenge this afternoon:

“I think conditions today, there's a low score out there for sure, and I'm going to have to play aggressively this afternoon.”

Jamie Donaldson

On his one over par 73 in round three:

“I didn't play great but could have still shot a decent number had a few putts gone in.  A lot of good shots but the putts just wouldn't drop.”

On the challenge this afternoon:

“This afternoon we'll go out there and just try and shoot as low as we can, and we'll see where that takes us.”

Ian Poulter

On his two over par 74 in round three:

“After shooting one under par in 35 mile‑an‑hour winds and then to go and shoot two over today is obviously not good.  I got out of position a couple of times and did not make pars, and then missed some easy chances.”

On the challenge this afternoon:

“I can go out there and make plenty of birdies, so that's what I have to do this afternoon.”

The three-ball is the fifth-last to go out at just after 1300 local time.
