Tournament History

Italian golf has never been stronger – with the Molinari brothers, Matteo Manassero, Andrea Pavan and Lorenzo Gagli all making waves on The European Tour – and as such this tournament, now in its 41styear, is bound to be another thrilling encounter after Robert Rock picked up his maiden title there in 2011. The last Italian to win this event was indeed one of the stable previously mentioned, Francesco Molinari in 2006, and the home galleries will be hoping for more of the same when the tournament returns to Royal Park in 2012.
