South Africa’s Louis Oosthuizen showed what was possible in the early stages of the WGC – Cadillac Championship third round.
The former Open Championship winner failed to make full use of perfect conditions over the opening two days at Trump Doral, during which he shot 70 and 75.
However, he looked in outstanding form today, picking up shots on the first, seventh, eighth, ninth and tenth to offset a bogey on two.
The upshot was Oosthuizen being four under for the day through 12, three under overall.
He was a shot adrift of compatriot Richard Sterne, but level with Lee Westwood and Nicolas Colsaerts.
The final group featuring Tiger Woods and Graeme McDowell, who will resume on 13 and 11 under respectively, were set to tee off at 1:45pm local time, 6:45pm GMT.
