Facts In Numbers - The Masters Tournament

As we continue the build-up to this week's Masters Tournament, looks into the numbers behind the first Major Championship of the year...

37 – Number of European Tour Members playing in the 2013 Masters Tournament.
7 – The Number of European Tour Members making their first appearance. They are: George Coetzee, Nicolas Colsaerts, Jamie Donaldson, Branden Grace, David Lynn, Thorbjørn Olesen and Thaworn Wiratchant.
93 – The field size for the 2013 Masters Tournament.
21 – The number of different countries represented at the 2013 Masters Tournament.
8 – South Africa has the most number of players competing, other than America.
63 – Tom Watson is the oldest competitor in the field, aged 63 and 219 days.
19 – The number of Masters Tournament Champions competing.
28 – The number of Green Jackets the 19 winners have between them.

14 – The age of Asian Amateur Champion, Guan Tian-lang. He will become the youngest player in Masters Tournament history.

50 – The number of years since Jack Nicklaus won the first of his six titles, back in 1963.

30 – The number of appearances this year for Bernhard Langer and Larry Mize.

3 – The number of left-handers who have won the Masters Tournament. They are: Mike Weir (2003), Phil Mickelson (2004, 06, 10) and Bubba Watson (2012).

40 – The number of Masters Tournament appearances Tom Watson will reach in 2013.
16 – Number of play-offs in Masters Tournament history.
1 – The first albatross at the second hole in Masters Tournament history made by Louis Oosthuizen in the final round in 2012.
23 – The biggest number of consecutive cuts made in Masters Tournament history. This was achieved by Gary Player (1959-82) and Fred Couples (1983-2007).
1957 – The year the 36 hole cut was introduced.
