Anirban Lahiri moved ahead of Danny Willett and Victor Dubuisson atop the Omega European Masters leaderboard as the second round edged towards a conclusion at the picturesque Crans-sur-Sierre.
Lahiri, whose 63 yesterday meant he held the overnight lead on eight under par, started his round in the knowledge Willett and Dubuisson had set a clubhouse target of nine under.
Having begun with a disappointing bogey on the par five first, he enjoyed gains on the next two and moved to ten under.
A bogey on the next was offset by another birdie at eight as the Indian moved back to the summit.
Willett was six shots adrift of leader Anirban Lahiri following an opening round 69, yet delivered the goods today. After getting under way with an eagle, he added five birdies in a flawless round of 64.
Dubuisson was similarly impressive, meanwhile, as six birdies were complemented by him not dropping a shot.
A cluster of players were a shot behind the three in front, including Paul Casey and Brooks Koepka – who produced rounds of 69 and 66 respectively.
Excellent beginnings to their rounds had ensured Thomas Bjørn and Stephen Gallacher were also eight under, while Richard Sterne was a shot further back after an outstanding outward 31.
