Joint overnight leader Stephen Gallacher got his third round at the Omega European Masters off to a flying start after Andrew Dodt had shown what was possible at Crans-sur-Sierre.
Dodt took advantage of an early tee time to strike a fine 66 that left him six under par for the tournament.
A host of other players were also enjoying themselves on a course that once again seemed set to accommodate scoring.
That certainly seemed the case when Gallacher began his round with an eagle on the 540 yard par five first.
He subsequently moved to 12 under par for the event, two shots ahead of a host of players – one of whom, compatriot Craig Lee, was four under for the day through as many holes.
