European Tour Weekly is at two events this week. We will be on the range getting the views from the players at the Hong Kong Golf Club, Fanling, as they prepare for the final Asian event of the year – the Hong Kong Open. ETW will also be getting the latest news from the Gary Player Country Club in Sun City, host of the Nedbank Golf Challenge.
Defending his title in Hong Kong this week is the irrepressible Miguel Angel Jimenez, who became the oldest winner in European Tour History when he won the title for the third time last year. The victory was Jimenez’ 19th on The European Tour and 12th since turning 40 and he speaks to ETW about his success in the Far East.
This week’s review comes from Leopard Creek Country Club, in South Africa, and ETW will show the best of the action from the Alfred Dunhill Championship.
One player delighted to be in the field at Leopard Creek was Scotland’s Jamie McLeary, who after eight years of trying has finally secured his playing rights on The European Tour. McLeary has been a winner on The Challenge Tour in the past and last season finished the campaign 15th on the rankings to claim the final card on offer.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
