The European Tour this week travels to Malaysia for the inaugural EurAsia Cup presented by DRB-HICOM. Players from Asia and Europe will battle it out over three days of Ryder Cup styled match play golf at the Glenmarie Golf and Country Club in Kuala Lumpur and European Tour Weekly will be at the venue for a full preview of the event.

Captaining the European team is the oldest winner in European Tour history and four time Ryder Cup player Miguel Angel Jimenez. ETW met up with ‘the mechanic’ before flying to Malaysia to lead out the European team.

A strong European team will be teeing it up in Malaysia this week and ETW met up with one of them recently, 2010 US Open Champion Graeme McDowell. McDowell has had plenty of match play experience having represented Europe in three Ryder Cups.

McDowell will be hoping to be part of Paul McGinley’s European team in September at Gleneagles and European Tour Weekly recently spent the day with McGinley as he was at the launch of the Official Ryder Cup wine.

Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
