Clear Channel UK accorded Official Media Partner status for BMW PGA (EuropeanTour)

Clear Channel UK, the outstanding out-of-home media partner, has joined forces with the BMW PGA Championship in an exciting new agreement to become an Official Media Partner of The European Tour’s flagship event.

Clear Channel has a national network of 60,000 high-impact advertising sites nationwide, including on the key arterial routes in and around the Capital, and will deliver visibility and brand awareness of the BMW PGA Championship 2014 on an unprecedented scale.

As befits their new Official Media Partner status, Clear Channel will work closely with The European Tour and BMW in identifying key routes in and out of London within close range of Wentworth Club, which will stage the 60th edition of the Championship from May 22-25 next year.

Over an intensive three-month campaign promoting the BMW PGA Championship, Clear Channel’s sites will have the potential to reach over three million people living, working or visiting London at strategic, high target locations such as the M4, M3, A3 and M40.

Using some of the most iconic sites in UK outdoor advertising, including the M4 Tower, in addition to Clear Channel’s unique LD6 digital network in central London, the superstars of the game competing in the BMW PGA Championship will be extremely visible to a massive audience in the build-up to the 2014 event.

Peter Walker, General Manager, Sports marketing, BMW (UK) Ltd, welcomed the initiative, saying: “We are excited to be involved with one of the biggest outdoor advertising companies in the world in helping to promote the BMW PGA Championship next May. This is an important new enterprise which will increase the visibility of the event in the Greater London area.”
