DID YOU KNOW - MADE IN DENMARK

• The Made in Denmark marks the second time The European Tour has played an event in Denmark. The only other occasion was the 2003 Nordic Open at Simon’s Golf Club. The winner was Ian Poulter.

• There are 30 players who played in the 2003 Nordic Open and competing this week in the Made in Denmark.

• The Made in Denmark is one of five new events on The 2014 European Tour International Schedule.

• The last time the Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort was used for European competition was the 1998 Navison Open Golf Championship on the European Challenge Tour.

• The Navison Open Golf Championship was played on the European Challenge Tour between 1994-98. Two players in the field won in those years. They are: Thomas Björn (1995) and Mikael Lundberg (1997).

• There are fiveof Denmark’s nine European Tour winners are competing. Thomas Björn, Anders Hansen, Søren Kjeldsen, Morten Ørum Madsen and Thorbjørn Olesen. Between them they have contributed for 23 of Denmark’s 29 European Tour victories.
