"This tournament is very special to me. One of the biggest we have on The European Tour with great tradition - the oldest of the continental Opens. This is very special"

- Bernd Wiesberger, Alstom Open de France Champion.

And what a story we have in Rafa Cabrera-Bello. The Spaniard went out in 40 shots remember, with a double and treble bogey on his card. Going backwards, there seemed little chance he could salvage much from his round.

Fast forward a few hours and he's heading to St Andrews for The Open thanks to a back nine which saw him make two eagles for a 29 total! Outrageous behaviour Rafa!

While Wiesberger is celebrating, another man who'll be delighted is South Africa's Jaco Van Zyl. Today didn't pan out as he would've wanted, but the consolation of earning one of those dream Open tickets is some consolation prize. Well done Jaco.
