• His third European Tour International Schedule victory in his 154th European Tour event.

• Moves to 1,526,217 points in The Race to Dubai.

• Moves to 23rd in the Official World Golf Ranking from 39th. 

• His first European Tour victory since the 2012 Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity.

• This is a gap of two years and 342 days.

• During that time has played in 74 European Tour events between victories.

• Has been very consistent since his last win in 2012. From his 74 events has claimed 17 top ten finishes.

• This victory beats his previous best European Tour performances since his triumph in the Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity of 2012, of second in the 2014 Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity, where he lost a play-off to Mikael Lundberg. He was also second in the 2015 Maybank Malaysian Open and tied second in the 2014 Maybank Malaysian Open and 2015 Dubai Duty Free Irish Open Hosted by the Rory Foundation. He lost a play-off to Søren Kjeldsen at Royal County Down.

• This victory is his sixth top six finish from his 13 European Tour events this season.

• Becomes the first Austrian to win the Alstom Open de France.

• This victory comes in his fifth appearance in the Alstom Open de France.

• This victory beats his previous best performance of tied 13th in 2013.

• Austria becomes the 12th different country to win the Alstom Open de France since the event became part of The European Tour in 1972.

• Becomes the 35th different player to win the Alstom Open de France since the event became part of The European Tour in 1972.

• The second of his three European Tour wins where he has made up a final round deficit. They are: 2012 Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity and 2015 Alstom Open de France. (Was leading going into the final day of the 2012 Ballantine’s Championship, his first European Tour victory).

• Began the final day three shots behind Jaco Van Zyl. Is the 11th winner this season to make up a final round deficit.

• The first Austrian victory on The European Tour since Wiesberger himself won the 2012 Lyoness Open powered by Greenfinity.
