• His eighth European Tour International Schedule victory in his 256th European Tour event.

• His sixth European Tour victory in the first three months of the calendar year.

• The fifth former Challenge Tour player to win on the 2016 European Tour season. They are: Brandon Stone (BMW SA Open hosted by City of Ekurhuleni), Haydn Porteous (Joburg Open), Branden Grace (Commercial Bank Qatar Masters) and Marcus Fraser (Maybank Championship Malaysia).

• The 378th European Tour victory by a former Challenge Tour player.
