The Himmerland Golf and Spa Resort will be hosting the Made in Denamrk Tournament for the third tim when the players peg up on Thursday. The course re-opened following a redesign by Phillip Spogaard of Jan Cedermolm's original course in 2012.
There are few water hazards dotted around the course though the courses defence is likely to come via wind as it is quite exposed to the elements.
The only change from last year is the new tee on the 18th hole. The most memorable thing about this week will be the 16th hole which provides a stadium viewing experience for the fans with around 3500 sitting and standing to the hill surrounding the par three's green.
The tees have been cut to 8mm and are made up of Creeping Bent and Festuca.
The 10mm Creeping Bent and Festuca will offer the players nice tight lies throughout the week. Though they are average in width there are plenty of undulations on the fairways.
One positive of finding the rough this week is that it is consistent but due to the seven wet weeks leading up to the event the rough is likely to be thick. The Rye and Festuca has been cut to two different lengths- the semi rough is 30mm while the thick rough is 65mm.
Once the players reach the green they will find 2.7mm Creeping Bent A4. They should be running at 11' 1'' on the stimp and have plenty of challenging undulations.
While it has been wet for the last seven weeks it is likely to be sunny but windy throughout the tournament.
