• His seventh European Tour International Schedule victory in his 222nd official European Tour event.

• Moves to 2,184,231 points in the Race to Dubai.

• Could move to inside the top 20 of the Official World Golf Ranking, from 26th. Is the first time he has been inside the top 20.

• His third victory of the 2016 European Tour season. His wins are: Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, Omega European Masters and now the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.

• Becomes the first three-time winner of the 2016 European Tour season.

• The first time in his European Tour career he has won three times in the same season.

• The first three-time winner on the European Tour since Rory McIlroy, who won the 2015 Omega Dubai Desert Classic, 2015 WGC – Cadillac Match Play and 2015 DP World Tour Championship, Dubai.

• The first Swede to win three times in the same season since Johan Edfors in 2006, who the TCL Classic, British Masters and Scottish Open.

• Joins Freddie Jacobson (2003) and Johan Edfors (2006), as Swedish players to win three times in a single European Tour season.

• Continues with his outstanding 2016 form. This victory is his seventh top ten finish in his last 15 appearances. Was tied sixth in the Real Club Valderrama Open de España hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation, tied ninth in the Volvo China Open, tied eight in the 100th Open de France, first in the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, second in the Aberdeen Asset Management Paul Lawrie Match Play, first in the Omega European Masters and now first again in the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.

• Has won three of his last eight European Tour events. In the process has won €1,892,991.

• His victory comes in his fourth appearance in the British Masters supported by Sky Sports.

• This victory beats his previous best performance in the British Masters supported by Sky Sports of tied 13th in 2008.

• The second Swede to win the British Masters supported by Sky Sports, following Johan Edfors in 2006.

• The 105th Swedish victory in European Tour history.

• The fifth Swedish victory of the 2016 European Tour season. They are: Henrik Stenson (BMW International Open and The 145th Open Championship) and Alex Noren (Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, Omega European Masters and British Masters supported by Sky Sports).

• His seventh European Tour victory moves him into third place in the list of most prolific Swedish winners.

• Led by three shots going into the final round. Becomes the 24th winner this season to lead with 18 holes to play.

• The sixth of his seven European Tour victories, where he has led going into the final round. (The only one he made up a deficit was the 2016 Omega European Masters, making up one shot).

• Gains his eighth win as a professional worldwide.

• Becomes the 16th victory of the 2016 European Tour season by a former European Challenge Tour player They are: Brandon Stone (BMW SA Open hosted by City of Ekurhuleni), Haydn Porteous (Joburg Open), Branden Grace (Commercial Bank Qatar Masters), Marcus Fraser (Maybank Championship Malaysia), Louis Oosthuizen (ISPS HANDA Perth International), Andrew Johnston (Real Club Valderrama Open de España hosted by the Sergio Garcia Foundation), Matthew Fitzpatrick (Nordea Masters), Henrik Stenson (BMW International Open, The 145th Open Championship), Alex Noren (Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Open, Omega European Masters and British Masters supported by Sky Sports), Anthony Wall (Aberdeen Asset Management Paul Lawrie Match Play), Joost Luiten (KLM Open), Alexander Levy (Porsche European Open) and Tyrrell Hatton (Alfred Dunhill Links Championship).

• Becomes the 388th European Tour victory by a former Challenge Tour player.
